Social Media Trainings – Twitter 101

28 April, 2011 (22:04) | Updates | By: HHS Network CA

Social media tools allow ANYBODY with an internet connection and something to say to broadcast their message to the world!  It’s also an essential part of our ongoing budget advocacy work to invest and protect our health care and human services programs.

And to help you get started, the HHS Network is offering FREE Twitter/social media training webinars next week to help you and your organization make the most of these exciting new tools!

See below for details:

Social Media/Twitter 101 Webinar
Tuesday, May 3rd
12:00 PM/Noon – 1:00 PM

Social Media/Twitter 101 Webinar
Thursday, May 5th
12:00 PM/Noon – 1:00 PM

Please note: We’ll be covering the same material and information on both training webinars – so while you’re welcome to attend both, it won’t be necessary. You’ll also want to make sure you’re in front of a computer at the beginning the webinar!

These trainings will take place online and over the phone, so you’ll want to make sure you have access to a computer and a telephone before the webinar begins. The webinars will include an in-depth introduction to Twitter as well as an overview of how you too can use social media as an essential tool in your own advocacy work as we continue to push our legislators to finish the job and maintain existing revenue streams!

We’ll be sending an additional e-mail later in the week with call-in information and links to training materials. Information will also be posted to the HHS Network website.
